Why do we need a Board Support Package?

Microsoft offers BSPs only for a few reference designs. For additional platforms, you have to do this on your own. After installing the BSP, you will find the DigitalLogic hardware in the platform wizard. So it is easy for the customer to create a Windows CE image. Almost all necessary drivers for the board will be automatically integrated. Some additional drivers like DiskOnChip can be integrated later via Drag and Drop. We have also taken some efforts to speed up existing drivers. The CD also includes an already-compiled Windows CE image for a quick start.

After the installation of our board support CD the Platform Wizard shows a new BSP for the Digital-Logic modules.

The platform wizard integrates all necessary drivers and registry keys. You only have to build the image.

You can add additional drivers or features to your platform by using drag&drop.
